In the lead up to the #telstrabizawards we are starting to feel the momentum build and it is taking all our might to try and stay grounded in this exciting time!
From the Gold Coast Bulletin this morning;
Leina Broughton and Fleur Richardson each worked for the country’s main fashion players before teaming up on the Coast three years ago where they developed a new approach for their LBFR Creative label. Designed and made in Australia for women on the go from their West Burleigh HQ, the pair combined their skills, with Leina handling design, development and marketing and Fleur as managing director.
The nimble label, a New Business finalist, sells mini capsule collections through an online store and stockist.
“Nothing is mass produced, we are agile in our approach and make products for the season; many of the big houses have to work months ahead but this is key to our success,” Leina said.
“We have been able to fly under the radar without massive overheads but ensure everything is made and delivered to the highest quality.”
The pair are launching their second project, Apparel Suite, a cloud business operating platform they designed to streamline and support their label and will offer to other fashion operators.
